What Does BEDMAS Stand For?

BEDMAS is the mathematical order of operations — the rules that determine which calculations to perform first in any equation. It's the foundation of all mathematics and the heart of this game.

How the Game Works

Each player draws 7 number tiles (ranging from 1–100) from a shared pool of 100 tiles. Operator tiles — +, −, ×, ÷, =, (, ) — are unlimited and free to use at any time.

On your turn, arrange tiles from your rack to form a valid mathematical equation and place it on the board. Your first move must pass through the red ST (start) cell at the center. Every subsequent move must connect to at least one tile already on the board — just like Scrabble.

Points are earned based on the answer to your equation, plus bonuses for complexity and landing on special coloured cells. Chain equations like 29 = 33 − 4 = 87 − 58 to cover multiple bonus cells in one move.

The game ends when all tiles are played or both players pass. The player with the highest total score wins.

The BEDMAS board is covered with special coloured cells that award bonus points. Landing on these cells — especially the powerful ×2 corners — can completely change the outcome of a game. Bonuses apply only the first time a cell is occupied, so timing and positioning are critical.
